Im a very physical person as far as wanting to cuddle, kiss and have sex. Mentally, I want to be with my husband. But, when we are in the act, I just don't get physically aroused. I can get aroused enough so we are able to have sex, and it feels okay, I just don't get anywhere near the point of orgasm. I've kind of been like that all my life. I have had orgasms during sex with my husband before, every once in a great while-and I am able to orgasm on my own. I was on e told that masturbation could help my body to achieve orgasm easier during sex, but I have found the opposite to be true. I think it numbs my vaginal area and I feel even less during sex. It's frustrating though, because mentally I want sex and I know the only way to achieve that is on my own. But, after I do that, I either have to only achieve orgasm on my own, or go prolonged periods without an orgasm in order to have "just okay" sex with my husband. Anything I can do to help my physical libido catch up to my mental libido?
Indulge in some mental imagery (sp?) . If he doesn't want to do the whole "dress-up for your part", you can pretend whatever gets your mind focused.
