Your surgical experience sounds like a nightmare...a case of malpractice. I am sorry for all those complications!
I take estrogen which helps with the "surgical menopause" (hate that term because it is misleading) symptoms but I still miss the old me.
I am curious - Did the symptoms of C1q esterase deficiency (angioedema?) start after the hysterectomy or did you have them before? Did taking estrogen trigger the symptoms? Or how did you know to get tested for this condition?
Since hormones are not "drugs" per se, I didn't think one could be allergic to them. Of course, one can be allergic to the fillers and binders.
There are various remedies for the vaginal dryness / atrophy if you cannot use vagina estrogen products. Some are coconut oil, Replens (which you only need to apply every few days), vitamin E gelcaps. I hope you can find something to help!
