Hey sweetheart. I am so sorry you are going through so much pain. Your hysterectomy sounds like a nightmare. I really am sorry for all of the pain and suffering that you have been through. I haven't had a hysterectomy but I do know that I don't get sexually aroused or if I do masturbate I have to use lube. And I always end up crying afterwards. I think my troubles are tied to a lot of negative feelings towards sex because of the abuse and then I feel self cautious because I don't feel normal or like a normal woman if that makes any sense. So many times we get too all up in our heads about this kind of stuff and it takes the fun or pleasure out of the actual experience. Now I still have my emotions and stuff I am working on but I am always here if you need to talk. Since they took your ovaries and you can't take hormones. I would suggest focusing on your clitoris and G spot. Maybe try some new positions with hubby or set aside a day in a week dedicated to romance. Romantic gestures, holding hands, spending time together, Also I would focus on massages for both you and your husband to feel closer to each other. Maybe some music that you both like and some scented candles that are both pleasurable for both of you. Remember. Your husband loves you no matter what. Just try to take it slow. Be kind to yourself and if the moment is not right it is okay to say so.

I can certainly relate. :( I have also lost my libido, arousal, and ability to orgasm since my unwarranted hysterectomy. My gynecologist should have removed a benign ovarian cyst and left all my parts. Sadly, I am not an exception to unnecessary hysterectomy and ovary removal.

Your surgical experience sounds like a nightmare...a case of malpractice. I am sorry for all those complications!

I take estrogen which helps with the "surgical menopause" (hate that term because it is misleading) symptoms but I still miss the old me.

I am curious - Did the symptoms of C1q esterase deficiency (angioedema?) start after the hysterectomy or did you have them before? Did taking estrogen trigger the symptoms? Or how did you know to get tested for this condition?

Since hormones are not "drugs" per se, I didn't think one could be allergic to them. Of course, one can be allergic to the fillers and binders.

There are various remedies for the vaginal dryness / atrophy if you cannot use vagina estrogen products. Some are coconut oil, Replens (which you only need to apply every few days), vitamin E gelcaps. I hope you can find something to help!

I found out i had c1q ertase deficiency by a allergist. I just would swell up in my forearms, my abdomen, and my privates.. thats why she said no hormones. Its very complicated. Even when I have ivs for dehydration. I swell up alot in my arms. And I have bad veins. My edometriosios was so bad. Thats why they had to take evrrything. I also have a bleeding disorder. Bleeding time for clotting takes longer.and have had a grand maul seizure it was so scay, I almost died. Thats why sexs is null, no orgasim. No good feeling, with touching. No vibrators work.
