Hi...I am an overweight mother of 2 wonderful children...Destiny, 16, and Trey,12...I just found out today that Trey has a fatty liver....he's 5 foot tall and weighs about 205 pds...Hes had respiratory problems since he was 3 mos. old and since then has been off and on steroids a lot of the time...hence the 205 pds...plus he likes to eat...lol..trying to be a little light hearted but when in fact im mortified...im scared for him, im scared for me, im scared for my family..i know almost nothing about this other than it has become more prevelant and common than thought to be...and very misdiagnosed...if anyone of you here could share stories with me about your children that have possibly been diagnosed at this early age and what other than getting on a good weight loss program, can we do i would greatly appreciate it..this site has been a wonderful one for me for lots of other issues, and im praying for some good support and to be able to discuss with others as we travel this road...thanks in advance and hope to make some good new friends here....
