Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. Whether you feel you are in a dysfunctional family or you're dealing with a very specific issue, this is the place to talk about it and find others who might be going through the same thing.
My husband has been very grouchy for a while now and it is getting worse. He is stressed out about a report he has to do for my son and my ssi.(I'm bipolar and my son has adhd). My husband has a really old dog that is sick. He yells at the dog when she barfs or pees on the floor yet he won't have her put down. I feel that my son and I aren't good for my husband but I'm not able to hold down a job anymore and it is extremely difficult for the mentally ill to survive in the world. I don't want my son and I to end up homeless. I am scared to death of that.
Living here, I have to walk on eggshells all the time. It is very stressful living here. This morning the dog got sick on the floor and my husband start yelling and screaming about everything. He was knocking stuff of the table and throwing things. He yelling about everything. I don't know what to do.

First things first, though, if you think you or your son are in any danger, then do whatever you need to to keep yourself safe. If he's throwing things around and hitting things now, how long before the 'thing' becomes you, your son, or the dog? If he ever escalates to the dog and you're still around, hike up your skirt and run for the hills because it's not long until he starts on you or your son.
