Family Issues Support Group
Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. Whether you feel you are in a dysfunctional family or you're dealing with a very specific issue, this is the place to talk about it and find others who might be going through the same thing.

Perhaps I am reading your post wrong, but I do not understand what you mean by the cousins receiving the comfort exactly.
I am assuming you mean that they are receiving family's and friend's attentions and you are not. If this is the case, maybe the family and friends see you as the strongest person and need less emotional support. We forget sometimes that all people grieve differently, and the people who make the biggest spectacle are not always the ones who are grieving. It is just easier to tell who is receptive of our comfort but the public display of emotion.
If you are like me, you push all emotion away until all the necessities are met. Then, you break down in walmart when you cannot decide between paper or plastic bags. People like me don't show grief the same as others, so many times it is assumed that we are well when we are not.
Either way, I am sorry for your loss and hope you do receive the comforts you seek in the near future.
Another hug and a blessing...xo
My grandmother died about a month ago. I was sad, but okay because I had my peace with her.
My mother did nothing to comfort me... all she did was trash talk my grandmother (her mother). So did my father.
Point is, I can relate.
What would your grandmother want you to do???
Hugs, and you have my sympathy.
Pay attention to those that support you, and support them back.
I know a family with so many members who are always at war with each other. They're so dysfunctional. One little girl in that family is only Seven and is already on Facebook.

Thanks for all the replies!
Why walk away instead? I feel like there's more to the story...?
You don't have to hide that it bothers you if you don't want. You are allowed to feel how you feel.
I'm sorry for what you are going through right now.
I am so sorry for the loss of your Grandmother. I hope that you get the strength you need from others in your social circle.
