Family Issues Support Group
Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. Whether you feel you are in a dysfunctional family or you're dealing with a very specific issue, this is the place to talk about it and find others who might be going through the same thing.

At sixty-four with multiple health issues, I can't bear my situation any longer. I've called domestic hotlines and I don't qualify because I'm not being hit. I did not work I was a housewife so I can't get social security. If I had no home and was destitute I could get SSI2, but I'd have to live in the streets.
My husband is abusive verbally. I can't take it anymore! Yesterday he said that people hate me simply for being me. That I attract hatred. He threatened my new puppy. When I said I'd call the police he replied he'd tell them I harmed the dog. I just got this puppy, but I may have to rehome her simply because I can't trust him not to do exactly as he's said he would.
He has also tried to weaponize my mental health and use it as a tool to harm me. Not too long ago I had kidney surgery. One-half hour prior I was very afraid and upset. He went to the nurses, told them I'm a mental case, and that I was trying to leave. None of this was true. He said he could not "enable" it. Then he literally walked off and left me alone to face the surgery. My BP shot up to 220 over 110 and they had to put the surgery on hold until they got my bp under control.
I don't know what to do I'm at my wits end.

"Costs and Attorneys fees
The court can order one party to pay the fee for the other party’s lawyer and for all costs
closely related to bringing or enforcing and action for divorce. Such an award would
depend on the financial circumstances of the parties and the justification for bringing the
action. The party seeking the award of attorney’s fees must ask for it in his or her papers
filed with the court."
