Family Issues Support Group
Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. Whether you feel you are in a dysfunctional family or you're dealing with a very specific issue, this is the place to talk about it and find others who might be going through the same thing.
It's hard to watch, I'm sure, but the truth is you aren't going to be able to do anything yourself. If the boys don't respect mom, they're certainly not going to respect you either.
Try to talk to your dad and offer whatever assistance you feel comfortable providing--helping locate a therapist or taking your mom out to lunch once a week, whatever.
I know it's hard to watch and it's sad, but really this is your parents' situation.
Go to your local doctor/health clinic/community centre etc and collect some information on Depression and give it to your parents to read, it might help give them some direction as to what to do.
Best wishes
Is she menopause age? Ask these tough questions and then get her 4 hours a week cleaning help if possible. Convince her to go to her doctor for a check up. Do what you can at home to help keep things tidy and help with cooking and cleaning up. As a person who has had only 3 children I do know how overwhelming it can all be especially at a certain time of life. You sound like a very caring daughter and she should be proud of you. Good luck.
