Family Issues Support Group
Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. Whether you feel you are in a dysfunctional family or you're dealing with a very specific issue, this is the place to talk about it and find others who might be going through the same thing.

My daughter is in a nasty marriage. She was here for a visit for a week with my grandson, and everything was fine. She went home and her husband was so drugged out and for the first time as I'm aware, he picked her up and threw her on the couch and pinned her down and told her the marriage is over. He's blaming us for his problems that we don't like him and never accepted him. We've always tried to support them for my daughter's sake. We even bailed him out of jail once for drugs. Well, the next day he loses another good paying job. He then apologizes to my daughter and said if they get divorced, we can see our grandson and she has to leave and find a place to stay. She has no job as she's been home with the baby. He then said, that if they stay together and work things out, that my husband and I can never see our grandson again. Our hearts are so broken. Earlier that day she took the baby to the doctor for a checkup, and he thought she took off with him. After the doctor she did go to the police station, and all they said was, if there are no injury marks to her body, they can't do anything for her and if it happens again to come back. My husband and I are so afraid that the next time he is going to put her in the hospital and take off with the baby. Unfortunately they live in Texas and we live in another state and he basically is trapping her in Texas because he doesn't want her to move with the baby out of state. I know this might sound confusing at times with my writing, but we don't know what to do. She begged me to not talk to anyone else and let them try to work it out, but also sounds like she can't see us or talk to us anymore also. That's how controlling her husband is. Our grandson is only 14 months old and was just connecting with us. We don't know what made him snap from the time she was here to the time she went home. Nothing makes sense.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

to. You need advice from people who understand this type of problem.
wish you good luck.
I agree to call a battered woman's shelter and also work with children's services..... If he's actively using drugs he shouldn't be around the baby..... Right now his mind is sick and he could hurt the baby and will hurt the baby emotionally at the very least as these are his formative years
If I were your daughter I would go to court to get soul custody of the baby and a restraining order..... She can work with a battered woman's shelter.... They know their stuff and they'll help her
I am so sorry that you're all go through this.... It would be awful
Narc anon can also help your daughter to understand and have boundaries with addiction..... It's important to 'get it'
If he's ever in jail again absolutely DON"T bail him out
Here are some resources...... Big hug and a blessing......xo

She should get a restraining order again she can go to court herself.... It starts a paper trail
Women's shelters have a ton of resources and they will help her to get on her own two feet safely......
.He shouldn't be around the baby if he's using drugs.... She can call CPS however I don't think she should do anything until she has a plan in place
The most dangerous time for a woman is when she's leaving a relationship
