Family Issues Support Group
Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. Whether you feel you are in a dysfunctional family or you're dealing with a very specific issue, this is the place to talk about it and find others who might be going through the same thing.

My family and I have not always seen eye to eye. I ran away from home and got pregnant at the age of 16. I went back home and got help from my parents though they were very distant at first (specially my father). My mother was a very kind & forgiving person. It took my father a long time to accept me and my (mistake). For a long time I did everything they wanted me to do, follow their every rule. I wasn't allowed to date, even when I started to go college (I did anyways). I got married before I turned 21, and was with this person for 6 years. (Thats another story, which I won't get into. It failed). I met someone else (currently with). As the years went by I grew a lot closer to my mother & my younger sister. When my younger sister got pregnant at 19, my father kicked her out of the house. I took her in for 2 years she lived with me & I babysat her kid while she went to school. My father moved out of the house to go live about 4hours away from my mothers house(they were still "together" at that time). My sister then moved in with my mother. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016. We were all very devestated but hopeful as she started her chemo therapy. It never let her down, she had a strong faith in God and was always so positive about everything. She was very courages. I tried to spent as much time as I could with her but she had her life, still working, her church groups and sometimes too tired. I even bought her the alexa with the video so we could see each other, but rarely did she use it. I would take her to her appts if she needed me to. In 2017, she started having awful headaches we took her to the emergency room and found out she had cancer tumors in her head, which she had to have brain surgery to remove some of that. During that time, I had a big project I was dealing with and I was at the hospital working on my laptop without sleep for 36hours. Everything went fine, she recovered and started her radiation therapy soon after that. Even though this was much harder on her physically she still push herself to get out bed and do things. (She was very stubborn). That year I took 2 trips, one trip my mother really wanted to take care of my teen son and was gladly volunteer to stay with him. I was no 100% okay with this but she insisted, also knowing that my dad said he would come over to my house to check on her. (So going back the year she got diagnosed with breast cancer, a few months after her diagnosis, my father was involved with a young female, mom found out and they got divorced in early 2017). Anyways, during my trip, I got a call from my father yelling at me for making my mom babysit my son while she was sick. Anyways, it really soured my relationship with him a bit. My mother was livid when she heard the things my father told me and she apologized on his behalf. After I came back from my trip my mother's health had gotten a lot worse. My partner and I decided not to take any trips and just be there for my mom, as she lost her ability to walk and was in a wheelchair by now. I have younger sister and brother. My younger sister was living at home and moved in her kids dad in. My younger brother lived about 2 blocks from my mothers house. My mother was now in hospice care at home, I ran my own business and sometimes I can take off times, sometimes I just can't. So I made up a schedule and divided the days on which days we each took to come take care of her. Of course my sister took the weekends (Fri,Sat,Sun), since she lived there anyways. I took Mondays & Tuesdays, (Wed & Thurs) was suppose to be my brothers. I was there on my times. A few months later my sister decided that she wanted to go back to work, so now there was no one staying at home with my mom. My dad only came once in a while and more frequent (weekends only). We all try to do our part. My mother past away in 2018. Everything within my family has collapsed.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I have lost my folks and I took care of them their last years..... Grief is very painful and stirs up all kinds of emotions including anger
A real life grief support group might really help you and your siblings...….xo
Grieving is painful but necessary for you to heal. My mother passed away in 2013 and it took me a year to cope and heal. I still cry whenever I miss her especially on special occasions.
I pray for God’s comfort be upon you and your family. Take care of yourself. God bless.
