Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. Whether you feel you are in a dysfunctional family or you're dealing with a very specific issue, this is the place to talk about it and find others who might be going through the same thing.
Could some of the veterans post a glossary of common acronyms used on this board for the benefit of some of the newcomers, e.g. DH, ES, ED, DIL, BIL, etc.? Many thanks --EJ (epicjourney) lol
MIL--mother in law
FIL--father in law
DIL--daughter in law
BIL-- brother in law
DH--I believe is dear husband
ES--I believe is estranged son
ED--I believe is estranged daughter
EC--This is "estranged cat" and when my cat The Boss says to me "I am really upset with you and you're going to spend the night out on the patio--you forget that what is yours is mine and I run this home and you have secretly arranged behind my back to take me to the vet on Monday and that's just unforgiveable. No cat likes the anal probe and I keep telling the vet staff it's not where my brains are but they don't listen."
