Hi.My name is Joy.I'm new to the group.My daughter and I are having issues.She has cut me out of her life.Why I don't know.She won't tell me.I have a new granddaughter that I would love to see but my daughter is keeping her from me and it really is breaking my heart.I love both my daughter and granddaughter and I would like to be a part of their lives.

Does your daughter suffer from depression or any other mental illness? It seems strange she would disappear like that. I wonder if something happened. I'm sorry you are going through this. Maybe just let her know you love her and are there for her when she is ready.

Hi , In your Journals you say if you do not give your bf money he will leave you. You say you want to take bottles of pills. Do you have a therapist or counselor ? I think you know why she is staying away. It might be best to make an appointment with your therapist. Things can not get better unless you face whats going on and get help!! I hope things get better for you. Getting well is hard work but it is worth it!!

Hi joybells, welcome! I'm so sorry to hear of your estrangement with your daughter. This is a great site for support but there is also two other sites that I would recommend within DS.

PEACE, (Parents of Estranged Adult Children Everywhere) and
PWWA, (Parents Who Walk Away), this site is more for parents who have been going through estrangement for quite some time but they're still very sympathetic and support to folks that are new to this.

It's doubly tough when there are grandchildren involved. I'm so sorry for your pain.
