Family & Friends of Cancer Patients Support Group
This community is dedicated to parents, siblings, grandparents, other relatives, friends and caretakers of cancer patients. It's difficult to find a safe place to talk about caring for a loved one with cancer, and so this group serves as an open forum to foster positivity and support for those going through this tough time.
It should have been easier knowing it was coming but it wasn't, after a few days of being unresponsive mom passed away and now not only are we dealing with our loss but with all the million and one thing that need to be done and all the 'helpful' people and it's just so hard. I still keep expecting the hospital to phone and say we can take her home. It hasn't really hit me yet and my brother is having a even harder time, I don't think he registers that this is permanent, that mom is never coming home and I don't know if I want t be the one to explain it to him because I don't think either of us can bear it.
i am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom, please try and take this a day at a time, sweetie, your brother is in shock, as well as yourself..
