This community is dedicated to parents, siblings, grandparents, other relatives, friends and caretakers of cancer patients. It's difficult to find a safe place to talk about caring for a loved one with cancer, and so this group serves as an open forum to foster positivity and support for those going through this tough time.
My BIL was just diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer. The family is absolutely devastated we are at a loss. Radiation and chemo begin next week daily radiation and chemo every 3weeks megadose 4-5hr treatment. If there is anyone has any experience with this please let me know what we can expect. It is metastatic lymph node in neck spread to tongue. Any help would be appreciated
My dad had stage-4 head-and-neck cancer. His prognosis was a 20% chance of living 5 years, but he ended up living 9.5. Tell your brother-in-law not to give up hope... there is no cancer that exists from which there is not at least one survivor.
