Family & Friends of Cancer Patients Support Group
This community is dedicated to parents, siblings, grandparents, other relatives, friends and caretakers of cancer patients. It's difficult to find a safe place to talk about caring for a loved one with cancer, and so this group serves as an open forum to foster positivity and support for those going through this tough time.
There's just so much wrong with him this time :( he already has kidney failure and had to get dialysis 3 times a week which was then mounted up to 4times, from just this week I think, but he hasn't really been strong enough to withstand it, except today he went on it for a few hours. Guess thats something.
I lost my grandfather 9 years ago. Doctors gave up on him years before he pasted away. It is still so hard on the family that has to watch them go through tough times. Stay strong, trust in the Lord. You will be in my prayers.
I am just worried he really won't have that long left, he just has so much wrong with him. He has cancer and an infection in his legs which is spreading, they can't do anything to stop it but amputate but he wouldn't even survive the operation, and he would be raging if we had to go through with that.
Some part of me feels a little guilty for feeling the way I do because he is my grandad and you hear of people who lose their parents, or children and here I am going on about my grandad who has lived his life and is about 75. But its just such a terrible way to have to go.
It's just a waiting game for the time being. I prayed once again last night that he might have a few more days left with us. I wished that he'd still be here for one final year and to be able to go to just maybe one more outing with my gran before its time. But who knows.
