Want to learn your experiences with Bipola Partner

Hello. I'm new here,I just recently found this forum because I've been dating a really lovable guy for almost two years, he's 28 now, before we were dating, discovered he is bipolar because of a sudden manic episode. Yesterday was his third manic episode, even while taking his medicine, and this is relatively new to me, I would really appreciate your general/similar experiences about it, your approach and how to daily deal, accept and support him.

I would ask him what he needs from you.... As well I would find out about Bipolar Disorder... signs and symptoms

There is a good book by Kay Redfield Jamison that you may want to read.... It's nice that you're so empathetic and supportive.... Big hug....xo

It would be helpful to explain what happened. My story is that I was married for 30 years, we were to buy a house, we had problems, and my wife developed bi-polar tendencies. When they're in a certain state, it's tough to reason with them and things can be frustrating. Today, she was depressed difficult, got a call from her friend, and then was fine.

I ask then, please call your friends. Today, her friend called her, no voice-mail, and then she called me, and I put her on. I suppose to be candid ,the question is how often do they have manic episodes and what do they do.

    Which explains the mysterious fevers and my extra fatigue. I'm so glad I pushed for answers.

    Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.
