Well, I am having a very hard time dealing with my husband. It is going on 5 months since I believe he started having his episode. (Think rapid-cycles). He is currently staying 300+ miles away, not taking his meds for longer than that, and is doing "just fine".
In the past 3 months, he misses and loves me one day, won't talk to me for a week, wants to spend time with me, can't get ahold of him for 2 weeks. Will talk for a week straight, then we disagree on something or I say something he takes the wrong way, blocks me on facebook, won't answer calls for several days.
Latest was talking for over a week, loves me and misses me, sending me very explicit messages online, telling me he's coming into town because misses me so much. Calls me saying I'm the best person he knows, etc etc. I was at a mutual friend's house and quits talking to me, again. Then when we did talk again, he hangs up for no reason. I sent him a message asking him to stop posting certain things facebook because he is friends with our 12 yr old daughter and they are inappropriate for her to see. Then I get a message that unless there is an issue with the kids to stop contacting him. What the heck!!!
I am very tired of the back and forth. I know that is part of it all, but still.
As far as the kids, even if there is an issue, no gurarantee that he will even answer the phone. My grandmother passed away a few weeks ago during a time he was not talking to me. I could not get ahold of him because he would not answer the phone. The following weekend he was supposed to visit the kids on Sat and Sun. Showed up late Sat, then dropped off early. Sunday, I got a text that he was trying to get his car started and would be here asap. He was staying with his sister almost 2 hours away, my message was 5 min before he was supposed to be here. And then no one heard from him for 4 days.
This behavior is all very typical for him when hes not taking medications, and I know this. Still doesn't make things easier knowing it though.
I am doing the best I can for myself and our kids and I feel worse for them than I do for myself. Our 9 year old has not talked to him for almost a month. The older one has her own phone but has cut her contact down considerably since he did not show up to visit. Even went as far as uninstalling facebook and messenger which was where they did alot of chatting.
I feel I am doing the best, but it is very draining emotionally. And his flip-flopping is making me crazy.

When I pointed out his whole back and forth stuff, he told me there will be no more confusion from him. We will see. I believe he is all confusion at this point in time.
