What about grandparents? Can any of them help?
When I first became a single mom (widow) I found a group therapy (support group w/prof. therapist) for single mothers dealing with depression (of their own and sometimes their kids) and that was very helpful. It also provided a social network sometimes too.
If you click on my profile I have some journal entries with some coping tips.
