Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.
During the interview Dr Phil asked her... are you should we aren't talking about a sociopath having narcissistic cravings and quite honestly I wondered as well
When you are on a 'manic high' it doesn't just last and last... What goes up must come down... I think there is some concurrent 'stuff' going on with this woman
Suncloud I wish I could have seen that episode. I do believe though, that if she was narcissistic or a sociopath before bipolar, then these two disorders were magnified by the manic episodes.
"Divorce is about twice as likely in marriages where one spouse has bipolar disorder"
This gets repeated again and again. Usually people say three times but maybe these people realised if the general divorce rate is 50% then that means that the bipolar divorce rate is 150% - which is obviously mathematically impossible. As it is with the general divorce rate is 50% so they are saying it must be 100% for people with bipolar. Which is ridiculous.
I once actually tried to check this back, articles referred to others until eventually I got back to the research. It wasn't about bipolar. It was about depression generally. Blame people with an agenda and lazy journalists and lack of criticality for that myth.

Usually that isn't the case.
"A good psychiatrist and psychologist are so important."
A psychiatrist to diagnose and prescribe yes. By psychologist I expect they mean psychotherapist (which is different from a psychologist) as they talk about therapy. People once medicated have no greater need for therapy than anyone else.
I must admit I stopped reading at that point.
