I'm new to this site. I have chronic pain conditions and can't work. My girlfriend of 10 years suffers from bipolar 2. She is currently going through a change of meds. This is a very hard time for her, and for me.
She is the breadwinner, but she's always fatigued and sometimes angry for seemingly no reason. Before I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue, I was the breadwinner. It was just so difficult for her to work. Now, we have no choice. I do have a purpose in this household however. Since Connie's father died three years ago, we take care of her mom who has Alzheimer's. I am her caregiver during the day when Connie is working.
We also have three rescue dogs who are a lot of work but the joy of this home. We have totally spoiled our dogs. Because they have had so little training, sometimes I need to raise my voice for them to pay attention. Connie has always berated me when I do that. I can tell when she's having a hard time when SHE starts yelling at the dogs. And that's happening now.
She has just started transitioning to a new drug. She has been taking lithium for as long as I've known her, but now has to try something new. She has warned me that this could get much worse. I'm going to need a place where people understand. I've been reading the discussions on this site, and I can see this is where I need to be.
Thanks for reading this.

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

She and her mother are very close and the fact that her mother is living with us now, helps her to try and stay more in control.
Hope Connie feels better soon for both of your sakes.
