If there is anyone out there dignosed young. Can you please tell me how feel the meds affacted you for better or worse. I guess I am trying to look into a crystal ball. No one knows what the effect of the medication will be on the developing brain which is one reason why a number of doctors are very wary about prescribing these sorts of things to children. Alot even doubt bipolar exists in children.

Many docs use b3 thErapy on kids. Also there is a form of otc lithium, lithium orotate,. These are safer. Ask hus doc about tgem, i took lamictal for several years and, tho stopped during pregnancy, my child has mitochondrial damage. New things are discovered about conventional drugs all the time and they dont apply to all or even most adults taking them but for kids, they affect a higger percentage.
