My fianc & I went out to the markets for a look. I then told my (bipolar) mum on the phone that we'd just gone for a look. She seemed annoyed & said well I just sat here on my own as usual. She makes me feel like I can't do anything or enjoy any part of my life without her making me feel bad. The reason I didn't ask her to go was because one she hates places with lots of people & the markets at this time of year has a lot of people. And it's quite a hot day. And today is the only day me & my fianc have off together & we like to spend it doing things just us. But now I feel bad. Mums mad. And I feel like I'm not allowed to have a life.this happens a lot.

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

You seem to be very sensitive to what your mother says and thinks. have you talked to someone about that? It seems a burden to you.
Guilt is what eats me up as well, but as selfish as it sounds, I have to protect myself and realise that mum has an illness. I have to admit I am struggling with it all at the moment, so you are not alone in this.
Believe it or not I am a qualified counsellor and I still have my moments. Take care
It helps knowing Im not the only one that struggles with this.
It does depend on her mood, and when she seems ok, i feel guilty for complaining. I have major issues with guilt.
Im so grateful for good days!
I feel like I shouldn't be happy if someone I love isn't.
It also helps to hear that I shouldn't feel bad about it. Sometimes I don't know wether I am being selfish or not.
At work, the people that I work with ignore the bad behaviors but still treat me well (the ones in my department)-Most of them will give me supportive "Hello's" and will make trivial conversation with me, which helps to normalize me.

Keeping the person occupied is good-getting them involved at a day centre or a church for Bible classes or volunteering is good-Any type of ADHD, OCD, BP or whatever-structure helps SOOOOOOO much-Creative expression-painting, writing, etc...usefulness-charity-very theraputic-builds identity and empowers the patient to embrace their own HUMANITY

THERE IS HOPE BUT SHE NEEDS DISCIPLINE-STRUCTURE AND SOMETHING TO DO
And she won't see a therapist or anything.
I feel really bad complaining now because she has seemed really good the last few days which I am sooooooo grateful about. I just really hope it stays this way.
