a little about myself: I myself suffer from PTSD, Major Depression, Panic disorder, and Anxiety as well as a peronsality disorder. I have an almost 3 year old son. I left his father a little over a year ago now who also suffered from bipolar disorder and it just got to the point where I never felt loved and they were just abusive and manipulative. Unforuntately when he left our apartment he moved into the same building as me 2 floors under me. He still obsesses over me and attempts manipulating me. I have ignored all harrassing, degrading messages and don't give a response to anything other than having to do with our son. I started dating my best friend who also ended up having bipolar disorder. We have been together a little over a year and were friends about a year before that. We have had our ups and downs mostly but those are for another day. Recently (Like the last two months) he has been obsessed with keeping me from talking to my ex even about our son, as time goes on he has gotten more violent towards me and just plain aggressive, agitated, threatening. It gets to the point where he tries getting into fights with my ex even in front of my son. He says he just doesn't want me to be talked down to by him anymore and he can't control his feelings. He has been obsessed with hurting my ex and I just don't know what to do. I have tried calling his parents and getting them to take him out to cool off but the majoirty of the time they ignore my cries for help and won't even show up. During these times he will usually be up then go back down then be up once or twice more in the day with aggression. We talked with his therapist together for the first time and made a decision to change my number to quit the harrassing texts from my ex but even though I did this it didn't seem to change how he felt about the matter. When we were dropping my son off my ex began asking for my new number and i told him he couldn't have it we began walking upstairs and they started bickering back and forth about stupid stuff like my dicks bigger and i have a job etc to each other I asked them to stop but they wouldn't and when we got to the top of the floor my boyfriend began attempting to spit on my ex with my kid there with him and threatening to kill him he spat on me during this and I thought he was going to hit me. I tried getting his parents to have him stay with them for a few days but they wouldn't even do anything and he has nowhere else to stay or go to cool off during these episodes. This affects me greatly as it makes me worry about my son and myself being caught in the middle of his anger as well as affects my ptsd with previous abuse and suicidal thoughts and self mutilation tendencies. Our relationship is strained and I am on the edge of having to kick him out if things don't get better. He has never acted like this before and I feel likeĀ it is turning into a repeat of getting manipulated and emotionally abused like my last relationship.
So since you got a little bit of the back story I'm looking for advice on coping mechanisms to use when he is so angry or crisis plans because I fear myself and my kid as he has threatened to do things but hasn't done anything so I want to educate myself more and have some idea of what to do when he gets stirred up. I don't want it to come down to us breaking up because of this. I care for him deeply and he made me very happy before all of these issues. I have no family that live near me. Neither of us really have any friends or anywhere to stay to be seperated during the manic times. Please help!
It appears that you have a bad egg in both hands and you holding them are ailing yourself!
If you are still with your present BP boyfriend, you can escape to a women's shelter in your area during a crisis. Your town or city should have at least one. But that is short term solution. You have to evaluate what you want and what is safe. What has your current boyfriend been threatening to do? I would separate from him as long as he's going to give you this kind of stress and should you be living with any man anyway without commitment/marriage? How could it be blessed? That's my belief and counsel. I am speaking from my own past. Stress produces cortisol ( the death hormone) which can also make you fat!! There's nothing like living in a constant state of high alert. You don't want it. You can do it but it's like shutting yourself down and becoming a prey animal camouflaging itself and remaining motionless to stay alive.
