This community is dedicated to parents, siblings, grandparents, other relatives and friends of someone who is Bipolar. The purpose of this community is to help families and friends develop greater patience and understanding, as well as maintain a positive, caring relationships with those diagnosed as Bipolar.
My father is in his death bed and most likely he won't pull through. In the meantime, he will support me at home, but not by going with me to the hospital like a spouse is supposed to do. On the other hand, I keep telling myself that he can't give what he doesn't have. Yet, how can I reconcile grieving and caring for him at the same time?

I'm so very sorry that your Father is so ill.... If you husband is ill he may not be able to go with you.... For instance if he's in a deep depression even getting out of bed could seem like too much for him
If he simply doesn't want to go that would be another matter..... Bless you and your family....Big hug...xo
