If its not too late Can you try to call one of the friends you were suppose to go out with and just go for a cup of coffee. Say I am sorry it did not work out tonight but I would really like to get out. Coffee is short and sweet and you are still keeping part of your comitment. You would probably feel better if you got out.
although last year when my nans partner died, i really needed him to come to the funeral with me, to help me through because it effected me more than i thought it would, but he was too depressed that day, couldnt get up. i was angry and hurt. but i also knew that he didnt mean it, and couldnt help it...
dont think this will help u at all, but atleast you know u arent alone
you're not alone. i agree with #1 -- despite her not feeling well, you should make the effort to meet up with friends later. you are a person too and have social needs. as much support we can be here on DS, it is helpful to have a live and local group of friends that you can call. don't ever let that go!!
