I really don't have a good reason for posting today but I am so angry with my mother over this that I just had to. My new boyfriend happens to have bi-polar and because of this fact, my mother says I need to break up with him. To me, this isn't fair. Am I way off base to be angry with her?

I agree with the others in that if you need to avoid stress in your life, you may want to understand better what you are about to enter into. Not to mention the fact that your illness and the stress of it may more likely "trigger" him and cause him to be episodic. If you truly want a relationship with this man, read, research, and understand the disorder. Time may make your decision for you.
