you dont have to be a sex offender to be on the re

I recently learned as the laws are different in all states that you dont neccesarily have to commit a sexual offense to be the registry. In some states kidnapping a child can put you on the registry among other non sexual offenses. if the registry is to protect us from sex offenders why are we putting other people on there?

Yeah, crazy isn't it. False security to so many people that believe that only the big bad sex molesters are on the list.....

Because its the ultimate goal of the government that we are ALL on a registry of some sort, so they can keep better tabs on us. Can ya tell Im anti government??? lol

So right, altercation between xgf and I with child present..yep, charged with kidnapping..now on TSOR for life without ever committing a sexual crime.
I am totally for laws against sexual crime, but detest the idea of non-sexual crimes being uesd to exploit the cries of those that have fallen victim to sexual crime for (1) political gain.
We also know that the SOR is not a deterrent...so what purpose does it serve. 1.Political gain. 2. It's revenue for the states. 3. Gives a false sense of security. 4.Destroys livelyhood and the welfare of persons /families attached. 5. Offers non forgiveness and no second chance for those offenders sexual or non.

Defamed1 you are absolutely correct in what you said not to mention it's exactly how I feel about the registry. Does anyone have any advice where to begin fighting the registry.
