For the last two years, my hubby has had to endure 3 attempts by HR manager, to terminate him. This company basically does not want to deal with the older employees, and has be getting rid of them by force retirement, forced out disability, to stop the earmark on the pension funds. Never has he been able to prove his case, so he has been gunning for him ever since. On the day of our court date, he made it a point to be in the court room, to intimidate us. It seems, he was reveling in his final victory of finally finding something to use against him. Our lawyer spoke to him, and told him if there was any questions, to feel free and talk with him.
But of course, as soon as as the gavel came down, he was out and running down the hall. I tried to catch up with him so I could explain the whole ordeal, of which he told me he had no time for me. We were half way home, and we got the call for him to turn in his work van, computer, and cell phone. This asshole had finally won. There is no reason why he could not keep working...he's a telephone tech.....and a hard worker. My question is this, has anyone here experienced being force out of their job, and if so, what recourse did they take. Keep in mind, that the IBEW Union had saved his job before....this guy carried a grudge, and has be gunning for him ever since. He told the Union, (of course in the back pocket of the company), to not represent him as it was non-greivable, so they refused to represent, or file a complaint for him. What are your thoughts and experiences. Thanks in advance.
