How can the government come and charge you after so many years? If you are so dangerous that they need to imprison you, how come they leave you on the streets for 1, 2, 5 years before they charge you? And if SO's are so dangerous, why do they let them live on the streets, under bridges, etc? Just wondering!

It's makes my head hurt too....in the news down hear I guy who is in his 70 has just been done for something that happened in the '80s totally crazy........so are the payouts that the victim of crime get yes there's a calculater down hear to work out how much you can get.
Yes thought as that can happen too.

My crime was 1979 did 4 years in prison and on parole 1 year only saw my parole officer about 5 time the first 3 months.
I have always register since 1984. this was my only restriction in life for over 30 years. I was able to make a life for myself, raise a family start a business and attend school functions with my kids, until I was placed under a new register.
This new registry carries a harsher requirement and makes me guilty every day for a crime so many years ago. This would make since if I had been causing problem but I have never been in trouble with any laws but speeding tickets.

This new law has taken almost every thing from me that I have worked so hard for these past 35 years.
