My son was arrested on dec.21st 2011 for child porn. he had child porn downloaded on computer and also had picture he had taken of little girl of his fiance she had on clothes but he had zoomed in on her private area and somehow from what i understood talked and shared this picture with a undercover agent. I am sure i do not know the entire story. My son is and was so ashamed and did not want to come home when he found out he was caught. he was at work when they came to talk with him and ask for his property. he refused and they came to our home unexpectedly and shoved me back in my doorway.(the cops that is) I didn't even know what was going on. I thought someone was maybe injured or in a car accident or something. then had us sit still could not leave premises and had the place surrounded by cops.(embarrassment i live in townhome) and would not tell us what was going on except they were there to search for something and was waiting on the search warrent to arrive. anyways i could go more into detail on all that. but to make it all short. it started out to be a state charge. they decided to drop state charges and turned it to federal i think to make sure they got him as much time as they could. said because he sent pictures from here to Uk or whatever it was considered traficing or something and was a federal offense. I am so shocked hurt and going nuts over all this. My son has been in a jail for almost 2 years now. he originally told them he was guilty because he knew they had his computer and he figured better to go along with them than to fight. he thought maybe they would go easier on him. but oh NO. well he just got his PSI whatever that is. he got it done and now i am not sure how much long until he gets his sentence in court. but he took a plea deal of 10 years. they told him he was looking at 30 or more years. so he took it. he did not discuss it with any of us. I am so torn up. I can't imagine my son in prison for 10 years. He has never been in trouble for one single thing in his entire life. thats why it was such a shock to us. he is 30 yrs old. had moved back home with us after his devorce. he worked paid his debts and we did not interfere in his room because he paid rent to live here. anyways i am so hurt he even looked at child porn but to think he was into it like that and is now facing a horrible life for the rest of his life. any advice for me? I can't stop crying or keep on in life i am consumed with this and the pain for him too. help.
