LOL now if we can only get our lawmakers to pull their heads out of their backsides and speak the TRUTH maybe this sex offender hysteria will stop peace out and god bless...............

I'm glad some folks in high places are starting to realize they are exposing their organizations to expensive lawsuits by passing resatrictive laws.

I would also like to see more people take responsibility for protecting their own children rather than expecting laws to do so. I realized long ago that in order to protect my own children and grandchildren from sex offenders, I pretty much have to distrust just about every person I know to be around my little ones. *sigh*

Actually, I'm much more leary of people who are NOT on the registry than those who are.

And another thing...I wish more people would realize how easy it is for their children to be accused of a sex offense.

The only problem is that SO laws do nothing to prevent something happening to a child this has been proven time and time again the only thing it does is it keeps on punishing someone over and over for something they have already paid for yes i know everyone here on this site already knows this but our Lawmakers seem to think that "if it saves only one child" then the laws are worth it no matter how many laws you have on the books if someone was hell bent on breaking the law they will you are not suppose to rob banks yet people still do it you are not suppose to drink and drive yet people still do it somewhere somehow we have got to let these people know that the only thing these laws are doing is destroying lives not only the lives of the SO be their families as well.............

I agree with firecracker, what I ve always asked is..... "will someone show me "..... where the registry has saved one or more children! Wheres the proof !

Do lawmakers really believe that because of the registries, there will never be another child abduction, child molestation, or child murder!? I hope to God, until the end of eternity, that never happens, but come on. There are a tiny fraction of deviants who prey on kids. But are there 700,000?? NO WAY!!
