Thank you for posting this. It seems a state like Utah can feel the way they do they are better people there at least that is my take on this post. I used to live in Utah when I was growing up for a short time and these people are usually more caring about others than many other places in the country. I pray this Bill does get past the Senate. It might open the eyes in many other places that we all deserve at least one second chance at getting our "normal" lives back

The "Vicki" quoted in the news article is Vickie Henry President of WAR (Women against the registry) a national organization with chapters in most states. The 'few women" mentioned, telling their stories are women form WAR's Utah chapter.. This summer WAR and Vickie Henry plan to do one meet and greet a month in various states where they invite women to come out and do just what these "few" did in Utah this month. Contact Vicki Henry about joining WAR in your state and actually meet other women in your area that you can be friends with in person. Vicki Henry have the list of states and months where a meet and greet at the state legislature is planned. The NV meeting is last and is set for November in LV.

Kudos to Rep. Draxler for proposing this sensible bill. Hopefully legislators in other states will follow suit.

It amazes me thought that one state and representatives can agree that the laws are too harsh (they are of course) but lazy states like FL just flat put everyone for life - end of story. And no sympathy at all - in fact they keep piling it on.

Some people are blinded by their own hate and ignorance to find out the truth. Those who leave these blindfolds at home can see the reality of the registry - that it's punative and that it doesn't protect society.

There certainly are lawmakers in every state that know the laws are too harsh and ineffective, but are reluctant to say so publicly, much less do anything to change the laws, because of the public and media uproar that would ensue over being "soft on crime" or standing with sex offenders and against the safety of children.

Holy F! It passed the house and still needs to pass the senate, I may be able to get off the witch hunt shit list 2 years from this September... but here's to not getting your hoples up everyone... job interview after interview is teaching me that.

Bullshit! The ammendments to utah HB 13 sex and kidnap are only applicable for voyeurism unlawful sex with a 16 or 17 year old and enticing a minor over the internet. I'm so sad .
