A couple of weeks ago I posted another story about this, but because it was me, and the link was military.com, nobody payed attention to it. BTW, there is another story about it today on mil.com.
CNN a few years ago did a doc. called the "Dancing Boys of Afghanistan". The ONLY good thing the Taliban did was to "OFF' those involved in it.
A 'Green Beret' is being discharged and likely charged for killing an Afghan police commander for RAPING a 12 year old boy, chaining him to the bed, and beating the mother when she complained. NO BULLSHIT!!!

We don't have any power there? Yeah, I guess the 10,000+ troops still there don't have any power, never mind the millions of US Troops that have rotated through there over the years, or the thousands of US Troops that have DIED or been MAIMED trying to bring these animals out of the 5th century.

If you do a bit of research you'll find that those orders originate in the State Dept to not interfere with "Cultural" practices. Who is the SECSTATE? One John Kerry. Who does Kerry take his marching orders from? The POTUS!!!!!!!!!!!I won't even honor IT with one of my famous nicknames.

I say again - we cannot control another society and their choices. I have also told you my father was a 3 war veteran - he spent more time in the middle east then anyone could keep track of. And correct me if I am wrong but the last time I checked we were not in the Middle East to change their beliefs or society 9in fact is anyone sure exactly what we are there for?) These are not the "bad guys" these are are allies? Maybe the USA should pick sides a little more carefully. And while I am horrified and sorry that that is happening to those children we are not going to change 100s of years worth of beliefs by imposing our morals on them. Those orders to not interfere with cultural practices have been in place a long time before John Kerry because my father talked about it. I want you to know that I have never done this before but I am asking that an admin get involved - and in case you may not be able to realize it you have said many things that I find bothersome and I have never attacked you like this - you should be ashamed of bullying people like you do

When it comes to the military we have to obey our orders. Whether we agree or disagree it doesnt matter.
We all see the movies. Maybe our media movies and such...make us think we can disobey orders. We cant. If we do disobey isnt it called a mutiny?
My 22 yrs in the Army taught me to obey my orders regardless of my opinions. My 23 yrs of law enfoment taught me to obey my superior officers. Yes...we can point out that it is against the law or just plain wrong. But in the end we have to obey our orders. Can you imagine our military doing whatever? There are rules we go by whether we agree or dont.
I admit it must be very hard to look the other way. I admit that it would disgust me to see this. But we have to.
It cant be easy.
Obeying orders was the Nazi's defense at the Nuremburg Trials.
It doesn't matter at this point what the policies of past Administrations were, the fact is, the CURRENT Administration has been in charge for the last 7 years and it's time THEY take responsibility for THEIR policies and not blame everyone else back to Nixon for everything.
Again, the excuse "I was just following orders" was used by the Nazi war criminals from top to bottom . Does that make it OK to murder 6 million + innocent people just because of their religion? The courts found that it was not a defense and EVERY Nazi charged with Crimes against Humanity were found guilty.
UCMJ 809[890].ART.90(20). plainly says you are required to disobey an UNLAWFUL order.
Since the Command structure/State Dept gave these orders to ignore ILLEGAL,(child sexual abuse is NOT legal in Afghanistan law) orders then the orders given to ignore the abuse are illegal and should not be followed according to the Uniform Code of Military Justice and any soldier who does follow them could also be charged.
