unconstitutional mandatory minimum sentences?

HA! some good news, maybe some bad. if mandatory laws are unconstitutional in state courts they should also be considered that in federal courts!!!

another big chink taken out of the wall!

Good news. I have an adopted inmate with 35 years. He emailed me yesterday. Altho he's in Floriduh there are laws trying to be changed on mandatory minimums all over the country. He was sounding optimistic that some might effect him and that his sentence will be reduced.
And another one of my adopted inmates, also in FL has 3 more years to go on drug & a gun charge. He got 15 years. Some laws up in that state might let him out now, if they go thru.

These mandatory minimums are BS.

Sounds like we have to wait until all appeals are exhausted.. there is the supreme court yet to go... crossing fingers!

Mean while down hear in Australia there bringing them in and yes hear they are unconstitutional it also removes the desecration from the judges.
I hope you guys can get them pushed out!

i for one have my fingers crossed that they will be deemed unconstitutional in the whole freaking country!
