My son has been in jail for about 2 1/2 weeks and I finally told my mom about it. I was afraid to tell her because she's had two heart attacks and two strokes, which I think were probably caused party from the stress of living with my dad, who cheated on her with other women AND molested me and my sisters.

Part of the reason I didn't tell her was also because I was mad. I felt like if she would not have stayed with him for so long, my sisters and I would not have been so damaged, maybe I would never have married my first husband, and I wouldn't have had a son who ended up molesting his daughter like my dad molested his. Kind of a twisted up way of looking at things, but when everything was falling apart, that's just how I felt. I'm still not sure if my dad maybe did something to my son or if it's just a really bad coincidence.

Anyway, my mom took it better than I thought she would. I just wish she'd quit asking questions though. It's hard enough to think about, without having to talk about it too.
