Bless your heart! Wednesday is hard on all of us and you have to endure that and this too all within 2 days of each other! I miss my son terribly too. He always tries to "perk me up" which makes me feel terrible because I should be his strength, lol. I will add him and you to my prayers.

Happy Birthday to him! I know how hard that glass thing is, just being able to touch your child during visits is such a moral booster. Hang in there and know that this community understand this.

It was difficult for both of us last year to not have contact during birthdays and holidays. It's still hard, but at least now we can have contact with each other. I pray that you get him home soon.

i know how you feel mines birthday is christmas eve. i visited yesterday and like you through a little glass window. he looked like tears whelming up in his eyes. but he tried to stop them. he always tried to look jolly to me. He knows me to well and knows how i worry about him. hugs to you and i do feel your pain. i feel the same way. yesterday was 2 years exactly also since he got arrested and still no court date.

I don't know how I'd feel if it were one of my sons who was locked up. I've loved them for so long through so many years and stages of their lives; it chokes me up to imagine myself in your shoes. He knows you love him and truly care what happens to him, and that must be an enormous blessing for him to hold on to.

Please accept the love of those around you who care about you and who care about him as well. We're with you for as long as you need us, okay?

Oh how I feel for you worriedmompa now I have missed last 5years of birthdays and have another 22yrs maybe before we sit and share these special occasions. I have learnt now that EVERY DAY IS SO PRECIOUS

this is the way I have learnt to cope being so far away . He has recently disapeared after being in touch regularly I can only think he has been put into the Shu for his own protection since being found out he is a SO in a medium prison, and just before the most emotive time of the year.
Thinking of him sitting on his own no one to talk too and not being able to call me is almost unbearable but thanks to dear Rew and few close friends I am holding up and know in time everything will change as it will for you too, hold those precious ones close to you right now.

My fiance went in just a few days before his 25th birthday. Before he gets out he will have missed his birthday, thanksgiving, christmas, new years, valentines day, my 21st birthday, and possibly the fourth of july...That's a while for a newly engaged couple. I may not be a mommy, but I know how badly it hurts to wish someone happiness and they try to be brave but you can hear their voice waiver when they tell you thank you. It hurts deeply that you can't just hug them and make it all better, but you just have to keep praying that the experience will make them stronger and a better person at the end of it all. That's really all anyone outside can do for someone inside...oh and love them. We can love them unconditionally as well. Even when the rest of the world turns their back....we can still have theirs. I might be wrong because I'm only 2 months into this process and I am new to this world, but the tiny positives seem to be the only things that get you through. Stay strong mama bear.
