I was just trying to post about us writing letters in a mass protest to our congressmen and c.c. the President of the United States. and it didn't post. was this topic out of line, ? if so I apologise and will not try to repost. please advise.
I know it is frustrating but you'll just have to post it again... for a while I was actually writing my posts in Notepad on my computer and then just copying and pasting them in so that things like that wouldn't trash all my hard work.. heh

I am thinking that maybe if you do and you have any stories to tell about the hardships it causes... it might do some good... so them what is to come if they go down that road.
My son , who is schizophrenic, was just called to the police station on Tuesday of last week.. it seems that on Christmas Day he went to a park district ice skating rink. because the old one was torn down and replaced. he said he just wanted to go to the grand opening. he has had,birthday parties there when he was a child. mind you, this is a family rink, not just for kids.
the police was called because he was acting strange, according to one of the workers. If you have ever seen people walking down the street talking to themselves, sometimes hitting at the {who knows what} he is the king of it.
the police came , said {I think I know this guy, } went back to the station to review his picture, but when he came back derrick had left.
the officer was going to come to our house and arrest him for violation of being in the park, however the detective who works with the sex offender registry intervened. and got permission to just talk with him this time, as he has always been in compliance, he has been registering since 2000.. it was suppose to end after 10 years , but he has gotten caught up in the ex post facto , upgraded to lifetime registration.
I attend every meeting with him ,as he will not really understand or comprehend the situation. ex: he kept asking the detective to hurry up because he needed to go smoke a cigarette.
Don't want to go to my own moderator jail.. Heh
