Not sure why you said someone finally gets it? From I see they are talking about hunting down former juvenile offenders to place them on the registry - ? did I miss something?

Ok I prob miss spoke a little but they also did state that the police arent just hunting people down and throwing them in jail. They are giving them a chance etc. They also did give two sides to the story with some saying that the registry dosent do a damn bit of good.

I don't see anything different here than most articles about sex offenders and juvenile offenders. It at least shows what the center for sex offender management and human rights watch believe. I'm not sure it's a must read though.

I do see some evidence in this article that people are thinking things through, rather than having knee jerk reactions. It seems that some of the issues discussed here fall into the "hunt 'em down" category. Other issues being pointed out do seem to be a step up on the evolutionary scale.

“As a community, we need to do what’s best for all involved. I don’t think we have a system currently in place for that.” A comment like this shows a possible crack in the window. The discussion was about how it is not necessary to enforce the letter of the law, but how there needs to discretion regarding individual cases.

A good beginning...

Exactly peekachu... I wasnt saying that all of it was good, but there are signs that things might just be changing for the better. Showing that even the police are allowed to make their own decisions and determinations not just hey your arrested. Yes the hunting down part is disheartening but seeing the good thats also in this helps a lot.
