Ya know I've thought about this at times, and you know what I think about the most. I would NOT want to date again! hahaha ..I can't imagine doing that all over again, AND finding someone that is good enough for my kids, not just me but my kids!

So the upside to me is the bond we have, that I don't want to have to look for in another person (Heck i can't even get motivation to work out hahaha).
Plus knowing they will love us even more for staying by their side, and our relationship can ONLY get better! As long as we fight it together we are stronger and no one can come between us, I mean heck if we can face this, everything else is a BREEZE.

So um yeah is that where you were going ;)

When I went to the courthouse with my guy, knowing he would be taken away in cuffs that day, he made me promise to keep smiling. He told me that my smile can brighten any room that I walk into, and not to lose that while he was gone! We talk on the phone everyday a couple of times and I am going to see him this weekend. He begged me to make the trip so he can kiss me on New Years Eve and New Years Day! (even though it is a quick kiss because the guards are eyeballing me...lol) He wants to start the year off right by spending the first day of it with me.

A love like that....that is the "upside" to sticking by my guy! (okay, maybe corny but true)

I know it is sometimes difficult to find the upside because we all have so much heartache in our lives. I just know he is a good person and has a lot of friends and is always doing things for other people. He is amazing and I can't wait for him to come home. 79 days!

Although I'm talking about my son, not a partner, I agree that the bond becomes so strong when you are the only support to someone that is incarcerated or on the registry. Both of us have become so close in our trust and respect for one another. I have been forced to watch my son, my baby, become a man in front of my eyes.
He has become quite a wonderful human being! I'm grateful for his growth!
