My suggestion is to focus on the love you feel for your husband. You can't change what is going on around you. It will happen in its own way, in its own time. Love is more powerful than any of the trash the legal system can throw at you.
Here is a simple technique: Find a place to sit for a few minutes where you will not be disturbed. Put your hands over your heart. Breathe in love and peace. Then breathe out all the uncertainty, pain and fear. Make the out breath as long as you can. Really get it out. Repeat this three times, then sit feeling the love that you have just brought in. Let it soak through you. When you are ready, get back up and do what you need to.
You're in the hardest part of the whole mess. Come back here for support. We care. {{More hugs}}
While in reception, he was tested to see his skills and education and mental health, as well as other things. Once he saw his councilor, they determined his prison security level. From my understanding, the levels are based on questions they ask the inmate, how they scored on their tests, and number of years they received at sentencing.
Once they see their councilor, as soon as a bed is found for their security level, they are moved. This can take 3-6 months and on rare occasions even longer. While in reception they can receive letters, but there is about a 2 week delay in him receiving your letters. And you could get approved to visit, but it will only a non-contact visit.
That was hard for me and him, as we had a daily interaction when he was in county, either via visit or phone calls. Then having that interaction ripped away instantaneously, was very hard for both of us. But that has improved since hubby was transferred to main line.
If you have any other questions, let me know. I hope this helps to know what is going on.
