It is my understanding that unless the difference in dates, times, etc., make a 'material' difference to the evidence, then its no big deal. In my opinion you also should be aware that just because a lawyer is expensive, doesn't necessarily mean he is the best. He needs to be experienced in THIS TYPE of case, not just Federal courts, to be useful.
I will have to define what they consider as "material" evidence. I assumed time frame was somewhat of material importance as to when he contacted her and when SHE recontacted him based on her arrest. (sigh)
And yes, this attorney has experience in SO cases...but I'm still nervous and was even thinking of getting a second opinion or co-counsel before it's too late.
Thank you again for taking the time to reply!
So not only do you have to deal with the longgggggg process of the system, you are dealing with emotions that equates to one hell of a roller coaster. You will find those family members disowning your nephew. You will find your friends telling you to just get on with your life. For me? No way Jose! This was a personal and internal decision to support, love, and forgive.
Your nephew needs you now more than ever. Visit him, write him, and talk to him. Just remember everything is being recorded so dont talk about his case.
Realize that its a very frustrating experience and most people dont understand. Keep your faith!
