It's probley a little like PTSD. You have been raveged by these laws and this life and having to look over your shoulder and be abused and mistrusted. You gotta take small steps now back into the light...and life. At first, it will be hard, cause of all the old paranoia's but I have so much hope and faith in you that you, in time, will be standing in the full sunlight and just enjoying it's warmth! You deserve every bit of this and we all celebrate with you the restoration of your life and rights back!!!
BTW...you said you wanted to stay a part of this group....Just because you got a letter from the DOJ releasing you from the registry does not mean you got released from this group. You are one of us and you are in our DS/FSO family!! In other words, your stuck with all of us. LOL I do hope you won't give up the good fight, too many need you here to continue with your good works on behalf of those who can't.
I can't wait to hear all about that fishing trip!!

congratulations firecracker! It is wonderful to know that there really is hope ! Even in the midst of the harassment we have been suffering lately, we recently found out that letters ARE going out for those whose convictions were in the state of Michigan assigning tier levels AND releasing MANY people from registering altogether, fortunately, my son and my grandson are among those who should qualify to be released, effective July 1, 2011!

Firecracker, reading what you've received...it brought tears to my eyes. Your words give me hope. Someday, we'll all get through this darkness to sit in the sun and feel the warmth on our faces. It's scary, and nerve-wracking but oh so worth it. I'm so glad you're already there.

Firecracker,reel one of those fish in for us ...congratulations again on your freedom...It will take months to really soke in I m sure. In the last few months some states have reformed some registing laws ( slow poke texas being one)and its people like you making it happen ....the fight goes on!!!!
