It's a darn shame that you're still struggling over this issue when everything has been so clearly stated in your son's case. The PO must be on some sort of head trip. I wonder if there's someone above him who's jerking him around -- not that he needs any help being a jerk from what you've told us.

Maybe it's a numbers game. In the Army, the JAG officer's promotion is tied to his number of prosecution wins.

POs just do not like being challenged. They feel that they have all the cards and hate when someone comes up with a joker. Eventually, he will give up when it becomes too much work. Most of them are lazy anyway.

I think it's more the supervisor. He's been mentioned a couple of times and he's come into the room when my son was there for a monthly visit. So, this is coming from the guy in charge at probation. I don't know why it freaks them out so much.

Hopefully the judge here will agree with the federal judge in Florida. They usually do. The state attorney here already agreed. This is clearly an issue for probation, and they have no right to change things like this. If we didn't have an attorney tho, my son would have to sign it and take treatment.

Not being able to afford an attorney is a big problem. Either you can buy your way out or you're totally screwed. We're in the middle., well, at least the odd man out. the PO is surprised and scared because we have an attorney.
He's tried to threaten my son by saying he'd have to go back to Floriduh because he doesn't have to take his case.. which is a lie, Now he's trying to kiss our ass and saying things that sound like he's with us, but really not. It's all a game. I'm tired of it.
