Since the investigation is just starting, who knows. They are still going over his phones. The local Fox affiliate is NOT showing his photo on TV. Yet they do show photos for almost everyone arrested with a sex charge.

Regardless of the outcome, this guy's career is probably going to change, unless they can plea this to a misdemeanor. He may not lose his clearance with a misdemeanor, however the "cause of embarrassment" to the US reputation could outweigh in this case.

Ok I will try to be fair here - in all likelihood this guy was caught by the same entrapment tactics used to entrap many of these poor unsuspecting guys - however, on the flip side it does not really matter becasue I can almost guarantee nothing will happen to him and he will not land on the registry.

As you say, probably not much will happen to him and all this will be swept under the carpet and then soon be forgotten, but I hope and pray that this will bring awareness of this craziness not only to him and but to the many others entrapped and especially in DC about the injust and unfair entrapment, sentencing and punishment to many who find themselves incarcerated for this all over the country. It is far fetched I know, but I hope this will help to bring awareness and change .... someone or something has to happen somewhere and in DC to bring change these insane laws!

Nothing will happen to him , he is protected by the goverment as an employee !

spock - I cannot divulge my former job title, but I was at a high level in a government agency and that did not help me. I lost my clearance as well as the usual consequences.

Things don't work that way, the "ick" factor works against all.

I had another thought about this also - I do believe that it is entirely possible that some of these folks in politics and government that get caught in the stupid hell could be the victims of frame-ups - an easy way to push them out and silence them

and why not? it has worked so well for females and some others, who frame so many.....
