Can I start receiving SSI for disability? I am becoming more and more physically unable to work, do to all the restriction.
For one I am a menace, and very dangerous to the point the police have to post my picture, to protect society from me. No one is willing to hire me or work next to me or shop where I work.
I had been able to work for the past 30 years with this mental disorder, now I find I am more handicapped than the years before. The State has disabled me from life! So why should I not be paid for this disability, I have been placed with. If society has to be protected from me then I must not be in a right state of mind, as the rest of society. If I were in my right mind than I would be able to control myself and society would not have to keep an eye on me

Is a person who is willing to hurt another person at any time mental or sane ?
The web site is telling people watch out for us because we are dangerous, its the Web site that is saying we are mental and that we can not control or emotions toward violence. This is why our picture is shown to the public because the Authorities say we have a disorder, a illness that will never change.
Dose not the Web site in itself prove we have a mental disability that causes people not want to have any part of us as sex offenders?
I am starting a new business and I have not committed a crime in over 33 years after being released from prison 1984. The Web site has made me and others out to be a Monster, the first day they made our picture available to the public. The authorities have made us disabled due to the restriction and lack of job opportunity that are not available because of the Web Site. They have made my offence from 1979 and others offences a disability. I never had problems with any one or finding work over the first 28 years being released from prison as I do today
You're right. The state and federal governments has made finding employment for registered "citizens" alnost impossible. It would seem since they are unemployable, they should qualify for state or federal aid. However, until someone, somehow, somewhere, is able to file a lawsuit, it feels as though it is impossible to fight the system alone.
Until "everyone" bands together to demand change, change will move very slowly I'm afraid. I would imagine most people going through this nightmare is just trying to survive themselves and don't have a lot of energy or resources to fight this demon.
Hopefully, as most people get fed up, and grow emotionally, they too will begin to fight the battle.
I myself get very irratated, for example: There is a petition on the CA.RSOL website to oppose more restrictions in Orange County. (can't go to the ocean, the pier, etc. Out of the 100,000+ registrants in our state, there are less then 500 signatures. And, many of those are from people that have signed who are from a different state!
It's dissapointing to say the least. Why are there so few fighting?
Maybe some of you can answer that question.
They would have to be able to maintain a support system for his or her family alone with having the finances to fight the cause. I don't believe one needs to be Educated to fight, but he or she must be ready for the media attention and all the trouble that this type of attention would bring. They would never be employable again they would be 10 times more exposed then they are now.
I think the best person for the job would be someone with 20 or more years living among society as a Law abiding citizen. Someone who has raised a family with values that separates them from most of society. This person would be the example that Sex Offenders can change and that over the last 65 years many have been able to do so, but these news laws are taking away any chance for this to continue.
This is what is stopping the fight from going forth, lack of money and fear
