My name is Anna and I'm 21 years old.
I'm married to my best friend who happens to be in prison.
We've known each other almost 8 years and before he got in trouble.
We had a baby girl and we're together for almost 4 years. We had a break up that lasted a whole entire year. Hardships in our lives caused us to find our way back to each other. Pretty soon we were talking and trying to get back together. I knew he was seeing other girls and I had told him it bothered me and he understood so he stopped talking to those other girls. I started hearing rumors that one girl he was talking to was underage and that the cops had been called on him. I had asked him about the rumors and he had no idea why people were saying that. We went to our County Fair and some girl walked up to him and was like "Hey weren't you supposed to take Sarah to the fair?" And of course being the jealous person I am got angry and stormed off. I had asked him what they were talking about. We let it blow over and went on with our lives. 2 weeks later we got a banging on our friends door and it was the police. They needed to speak with him. I was asleep still because I had just gotten off work maybe 2 hours earlier. My husband left to go speak with them. Little did I know he had just made the biggest mistake of our lives. A month later he was arrested for rape in the 2nd degree and was put in jail. I had also found out earlier in the week I was pregnant with our second child. From that point on our lives just went into a downward spiral. His family and I bonded him out and got him an ankle bracelet so he could stay with us a Lil longer. His sentencing came and he had to go in Feb.28th 2013. I had decided that if I was going to be the mother of his children that I don't need to be his girlfriend anymore but something more. We got married Feb 14 almost 2 weeks before he was to go in. Following days went by quick I had also started a new job at a pharmacy. The day finally came and we said our goodbyes.
I ask myself to this day. Was there some karmaric error I committed to deserve this? What did I do to deserve this? Because Not only is my husband being punished for being stupid but am I being punished too? Was I stupid to make the decision I made. I don't want to believe that. And I feel so angry too. With my husband and the girl who started this. The girl who had a one night stand with him but stalked him to try to date him. The girl who was angry that he had chosen me and not her. The girl who lied to the court and said he was her "Sugar Daddy". The girl who claimed that "if she didn't tell someone now it would just happen to another girl". The girl who during our fights with the court dated another guy that 20 fixing to be 21 and posted it on Facebook. The girl who ruined our lives. My husband should be getting out in the next year or two, but til then everything is in Limbo. Til then some days will always be better than others.

Jealous girls sometimes lie, but there can be no real proof of who is right. Your husband is stuck with this scarlet letter. It will definitely affect your life, but how much waits to be seen. You are so young to have so much on your shoulders.
