What are the test that so offender program use to determine if someone will re-offend ? I have some articles and they sound like something out of the stone age.

The only one I know about is the Static-99, which is a list of 10 questions. In my state, they have supposedly stopped using it because it does not ask the person point blank if they plan to reoffend. Some people DO plan to reoffend and they are let out because the test is insufficient. I'm sure there are better tests now.

I was given the Abel Assessment. It is as accurate as the clinician reviewing the result.

I also took the MMPI. This was interesting for me since I took it in school three times. Anyone knowing the patterning can get it to say whatever they want. I was honest with it.

Both showed I was no danger to anyone within normal limits. And had minimal to no paraphilia.
