the car "looked suspicious)? really how did it look suspicious?? the officer was bored and was scanning license plate for something to do.
Six Flags has had an anti-registrant policy in place for years now, they just haven't advertised it.
I sent an email to the station asking ow the reporter came to the conclusion that "sex abuse can happen anywhere" as the result of this story. No response.
Also, your comment "Don't do illegal things" seems like a simplistic and odd thing to say when you follow it with suggestions on how not to be detected.
First of all, as previously mentioned he was identified starting with the security guy that ran his license plate becasue the car was suspicious! So what did the car whisper as the guy drove by "Please help me I belong to a sex offender" Of course not! we all know that guy was running the plates in the parking lot at random. I assume he is a allowed to do that? This is a perfect example of how the mind set of the country has changed to guilty until proven innocent - what exactly was he looking for? Anything until he happened to find it?
Also, the public (becasue this is what they have been taught) automatically assumes that this man usued and alias to get his pass just so he could go and harm children. We know that it is more likely that they guy used an alias becasue he was sick and tired of being banned from places like parks - could it just be that the guy wanted to have a little fun and recreation like everyone else? Oh that's right he is no longer human, right?
I was glad to see the statement int he article that there was no evidence that he approached any children (was that there before?)
i guess because i live in TN and worked at the park, this brings to mind Dollywood. sure they have things for kids, some rides and such. but there is so very much at the park geared to adults. even tho they advertize and say that they are a family themed park i honestly feel that it's more of an adult park.
a season pass gives you free parking and admission to the opportunity of going weekly to see the constantly changing shows and festivals. the shops have toys and clothing for the kids but most of that is also geared for adults. and without the adults going there to buy the stuff for the kids? why even bother?
where else could you go for 9 months of the year, for that amount of money for that much different week to week and month to month entertainment? tho the cost of a seasons pass isn't cheap? it's a whole lot cheaper than 9 months worth of going daily or weekly to the movies and paying for cable tv monthly.
