I've not heard of background checks, but they do like to meet the person they are with.
I was asked if I had a record of any kind, but they didn't run a background check on me.
ask the po he well to you what you need to know that there job to help after all right
That's not a silly question. You are new to this and there are so many unanswered questions. Ricky and knownot are correct, you should ask the PO yourself. I wish you and your fiancé every happiness!
Maybe, for the sake of anonymity, you could call the probation office and just ask a receptionist the rules/regulations. No reason to bring undue scrutiny your way.
Are you aware of his offense?
How old are you?
Do you work? (my answer was no) so I got what is your income or do you plan on working?
Do you have children?
Do you want children?
Do you have a smartphone or computer? Are they password protected?
Have you ever been convicted of anything?
Have you ever been charged with anything?
That was the gist of it. As she got to know me more and as our situation changed the questions changed.
He has since switched PO's and I have never spoken to this one. I'm guessing the old one's notes are good enough for them. We had also been together for a long time before the switch.
I've never had a background check run on me by the probation department.
I met my BF's PO once while we were out to lunch, didn't ask me anything about myself, as my BF had already told him whatever he asked. As far as I can tell, each PO has their own say on the matter, and it really depends on whether they're "jerks" about it or not.
