LOL dzac! Ummmmm.......I'm not an attorney, but as far as DHS putting stipulations on your son without any conviction doesn't sound legal at all! I would definitely contact your son's attorney and get that stopped. It's detrimental to those children! I have articles about children needing thier parents( to present to authorities if you need them).........just pm me and I will email them to you. But I wouldn't let them do that to your son without fighting it! It could be years before your son's case is brought to court, the children would have to go that long without him? I don't think so! It took 4 years for my son's trial! I would not allow that to happen to those kids! No way! Contact your attorney and then perhaps the ACLU for the childrens rights, since they are being violated!

By the way, is it appropriate to expect a detailed statement from a criminal defense attorney, showing what they did and how much time they spent on each task? I just feel like all that money is going into a black hole and we never get info on what it's buying us.

My guy was allowed to be around my children for 8 months as long as I was there prior to sentencing (after arrest). I happened to be pregnant at the time with his child. This was two years ago. His child was born and he has not yet been allowed to meet her. Nothing makes sense...

Ummmmm.... $85,000, four attorneys...... son got 8 years incarceration for possession of cp in which his girlfriend gave to him of herself! He will have to register as an SO for life! A DP is the way to go for now, and as flmombs said, save the money for an appeal down the road! That will be more important!

Some good advise here. I was lucky because I found an attorney with integrity (almost unheard of) After reviewing the case, he told us that the deal the Navy was offering my son was better than anything he would be able to get. So he told me to keep my money. At the time, I wasn't sure of my decision but after hearing what many of you have spent on lawyers and the results, I believe that the guy was for real and I am glad I did not have to spend the money because I may need it to help if he is not able to find gainful employment now that he is out.
