Sentencing tomorrow -Stressed and Worried

Worried Sick in Maryland for sure tonight.
Tomorrow is the sentencing.

We find out if my husband can get a PBJ and not have to register.
or if he will
Be on probabtion and have to register for 25yrs for a no contact sex offense.

One count of Sexual Soliciation of a Minor (no meeting ever was set up or took place) just one Facebook conversation.

Not sure what else they will make him do or say he cannot do.

This is so hard on me. And I worry about how this will effect our family especially our two girls 9 and 4.

My husband had NO Contact and he only talked on the internet. He was a teacher and he pretended to be one of his students to see how the kids thought about him. He got a girl to fall in love with the fake person he made up. He only typed online on facebook. I read everything he wrote and it really wasn't that bad. We hired 2 different lawyers and spent over $20,000 fighting this it took over a year. The judge sentenced him to 2 to 10 years in prison. He has a felony and has to register as a Sex Offender. We live in Idaho so maybe your state is not so strict. My husband was just joking around he didn't even know what he was doing was illegal. He had NO Pictures and NO contact with anyone he just had inapproiate communication. I have 5 children and the youngest is only 2 still in diapers. I am a teacher too. Now I am a single mom waiting for my husband to get out of prison. Good Luck. The courts take even internet solitation very seriously, especilally in Idaho.

Our son met a young women who told him she was 19. She took his phone number off a flier that he had posted advertising his custom made furniture. She called him. He discovered that she had lied about her age and she was actually only 16. He then refused her calls, and changed his #.

A year later, her mother discovered a letter she had written to our son, (but never sent) claiming how hurt she was that he refused her calls, and called law enforcement. The law enforcement found his new #, and arranged a taped recording with the girl telling her exactly what to say. Yes, out son should have just hung up, but he didn't. They hung him from his statement to her, "What you did could have sent me to prison".

They used that statement to convict him. We fought the charges for two years, at a cost of $34,000.
He was a young single father of a small boy. He was sentenced to 6 years, 4 months in state prison. He served 3 years, 2 months. The judge did order that he would make an exception, and allow him to see and visit with his son. However, when released the state parole wouldn't even allow phone conversations or letters.
Our other son is a teacher. Because of knowing how easy it is to get convicted because of an accusation, we continually encourage him to find another profession.
